We’re excited to share a big milestone: Visionary Psychiatry is now an approved CareOregon provider. As part of the network of CareOregon mental health providers, we can now serve Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members with psychiatric care, medication management, ADHD support, therapy for children and families, and telehealth psychiatry. CareOregon is Oregon’s largest OHP plan administrator, serving more than 500,000 members statewide.

What Is CareOregon?

CareOregon is a nonprofit health plan that helps Oregonians get the care they need, no matter their income. Through the OHP and Medicare Advantage, it connects members to medical, dental, and mental health services, including support for substance use treatment.

CareOregon administers OHP benefits through three coordinated care organizations (CCOs):

By working with local CCOs across the state, CareOregon makes health care more accessible, more equitable, and more focused on the well-being of every community it serves.

What This Means for Visionary Psychiatry Patients

  • Behavioral health is covered under OHP. OHP covers mental health and substance use services, and no primary care referral is required to start behavioral health treatment.
  • Telehealth is covered. OHP covers video, phone, and online visits, giving patients—including children, families, and neurodivergent individuals—convenient access to psychiatric care.
  • Care tailored to children and neurodivergent patients. Families seeking ADHD assessment, pediatric psychiatric care, or therapy for children can access these services with their CareOregon benefits.
  • Medication management included. Members can receive evaluation and ongoing medication support for conditions like ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
  • Access aligned to your local CCO. If you are enrolled with OHP and have your CCO as CareOregon or Jackson Care Connect, Pacific Source Community Solutions, then Visionary Psychiatry is in your network. Members can confirm coverage and providers through their CareOregon member portal.

Effective October 1, 2025, CareOregon will require OHP members to access routine outpatient behavioral health and psychiatric services, including medication management, exclusively through in-network providers. Being approved by CareOregon positions Visionary Psychiatry to continue serving members within these evolving rules.

Who Is Eligible?

If you are enrolled in the Oregon Health Plan with CareOregon (including newer programs like OHP Bridge for certain adults up to 200% Federal Poverty Level (FPL)), your plan includes medical, dental, and behavioral health benefits administered via your CCO.

Check your member card or portal to confirm your CCO and benefits.
